The anti-wrinkle performance of silk clothing is slightly worse than that of chemical fiber clothing, so there is a saying that "wrinkle-free is not real silk". If the clothes wrinkle after washing, they need to be ironed to make them crisp, elegant and beautiful. Silk can be ironed. Wait 3-5 minutes before ironing. The ironing temperature should be controlled below 150℃. Do not press the iron directly against the silk surface to avoid auroras. But you need to pay attention to the method, please refer to the following three methods~

Method 1

When ironing, dry the clothes until they are 70% dry, then spray water evenly and wait 3-5 minutes before ironing. The ironing temperature should be controlled below 150℃. It is not advisable to press the iron directly on the silk surface to avoid causing aurora. It must be covered with a layer of damp cloth before ironing to prevent the high temperature from making the silk brittle or even burnt. The ironing temperature of silk cheongsam should be controlled between 165℃-185℃. You can use reverse dry iron or iron with a mat. Do not spray directly on clothes. Ironed clothes should be placed in a ventilated place until the heat and moisture dissipate, otherwise they may cause mildew.

Method 2

1. Spray a little water on the silk dress to make it slightly moist. Fold the silk dress neatly, place it in a plastic bag, and seal it.

2. Place silk clothes in the freezer of the refrigerator and take them out after 15 minutes. The clothes are already hard. Now follow method 1 to iron silk clothes. In this way, silk clothes no longer follow the iron everywhere. It protects silk clothes from damage. After a while, silk shirts will become smooth and comfortable.

Method 3

(1) Thin silk materials: such as electrospinning, silk spinning, georgette, etc. This type of clothing must be sprayed or sprinkled with water and waited for a period of time before ironing. Wait for the water to boil evenly before ironing. When ironing, you can place the iron on the wrong side of the clothes and iron them directly. The iron temperature can be controlled between 160-180℃. If this type of clothing is used to make cotton or fleece-lined clothing, when ironing, cover the fabric with a damp cloth and increase the iron temperature to about 220°C.

(2) Satin materials: such as brocade, antique satin, soft satin, etc. Such satin should be ironed on the reverse side. If it is made into jackets, cotton-padded clothes, etc., it should be ironed from the front. When ironing on the reverse side, water must be sprayed or sprinkled evenly before ironing, and the iron temperature can be controlled between 160-180°C. The temperature of the iron on the wet cloth is about 200-220℃.

(3)Tussah silk: It can be divided into tussah silk, tussah silk, tussah viscose interwoven jacquard silk, tussah polyester interwoven printed silk, etc. The characteristic of tussah silk is that improper ironing can easily cause water stains. Therefore, when ironing, water must be sprayed finely and evenly, just like mist. The iron can be used to iron the wrong side of the fabric. The iron temperature can be controlled between 150-160℃. between. For thicker tussah silk clothing, when ironing, you can put a layer of dry cloth in front and then cover it with a layer of wet cloth. The wet cloth should not be too wet and can be wrung dry. The temperature of the iron on the wet cloth is between 190-220℃.
